Rice Intermediate School staff and students are proud to announce that SAMSON H., 5th grade student, has been selected as one of the Students of the Month for February by the Arizona State Board of Education, following his nomination by his STEM Science Club Coordinator, Mr. Robomafel E. Veniales in November 2024.

Samson is recognized for his exemplary personal qualities as a student leader who embodies the school’s values of respect, responsibility, and safety. He consistently demonstrates these values in his interactions with both peers and educators, making him a positive role model within the school community.

Academically, Samson has excelled, achieving a Highly Proficient scale score of 3645 in the AASA Math Spring 2024 assessment. His dedication to his studies is further highlighted by his receipt of the Principal’s Honor Awards, which recognize his outstanding performance with “A” grades in both English Language Arts and Math during the first recognition period in September 2024.

In addition to his academic success, Samson actively participates in various co-curricular and extracurricular activities. As the President of the Student Council, he has effectively led initiatives that enhance student engagement and foster a strong sense of community within the school. He is also a proud member of several STEM clubs, including the Robotics Club and the Science Fair Club, where he collaborates with fellow students to explore scientific concepts and develop innovative projects.

His leadership, character, and commitment to his studies and school activities make him a deserving recipient of this award. The entire school community is excited to celebrate Samson for his hard work and dedication.

Congratulations, SAMSON!  Your achievements and contributions truly inspire us all.
