Superintendent
The superintendent of a school provides the administrative leadership to all school personnel as well as aides in setting and carrying out the goals and objectives of the school district. Dr. Deborah Jackson-Dennison, our superintendent, believes in designing a system to build positive relationships between all stakeholders: students, staff, parents, family, and community. We appreciate her focus on a culturally responsive, relevant, and sustainable education system for all San Carlos students.
A Message from Our Superintendent
Dear Community and School Stakeholders,
Using a systemic reform approach to refining and developing processes and procedures, we have developed our “Empowering Our N’nee People the Brave Way” strategic planning and accountability model as our means to better ensure student success.
A few highlighted initiatives include working closing with our new Apache College to implement the dual credit program for our high school students, implementing the kindergarten Apache immersion cohort at Rice Elementary, designing and implementing the middle school intervention concept, and bridging new partnerships and relationships with all other tribal and community agencies such as the San Carlos Apache Tribal Education Department and the San Carlos Apache Health Corporation on opportunities that focus all our initiatives on providing the quality education our students deserve. We are also working to be a trauma sensitive and informed school and community implementing approaches, practices, processes, and designs that best serve our students within San Carlos Unified School District.
Sincerely,
Deborah Jackson-DennisonDr. Deborah Jackson-Dennison
