ZORAYDA AGUS
CONSUMER MATH, COLLEGE MATH, PRE-CALCULUS TEACHER
ZORAYDA PADILLA-AGUS is a dedicated, passionate, and duly certified educator with over two decades of teaching experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). She teaches College Math (dual college credit), AVID, and Robotics.
Holding two master's degrees - M.Ed. in Mathematics Education and M.S in Industrial Engineering, and possessing a deep commitment to fostering a positive learning environment, Mrs. Agus strives to inspire and empower her students through innovative teaching methods and personalized attention. Known for her ability to connect with students, and instill a love for learning, she is committed to nurturing the academic and personal growth of every individual in her classroom.
Mrs. Agus is a registered member of both academic and professional organizations- the National Council for Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM), the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE), Career & Technical Education (CTE), and the International Leadership Association (ILA). She has multiple careers and varied experiences in the industry and academia. Recently, she participated in the National Endowment for Humanities project: “We, The People- Migrant Waves of America,” and presented at a research conference at the Anaheim Convention, California. She used to teach professional industrial engineering courses at a private university in the Philippines, where she was born and raised.
Mrs. Agus is also an active officer in the Iglesia ni Cristo (Church of Christ). She always participates in the church administration's programs and activities and volunteers in the Felix Y. Manalo Foundations' Care for Humanity & INC Giving outreach program – to show love and care for the community and to redound honor and glory to the Almighty God.
As a lifelong learner, she is an industrial engineer by education, working on her post-graduate credits (Ph.D.), and is a dissertation away from her doctorate.
Education is her way of life, for it enriches.
