JOYCELENE JOHNSON

Dagot’ee. I am an Apache native speaker and an Apache language teacher at San Carlos High School. My aim is to help develop and improve students' Apache skills, as well as interest in the culture, as I am passionate about my heritage. I studied Native American Curriculum Development, American Indian Studies, Reading, Language and Culture at the University of Arizona and hold a B.S. in Early Childhood Development, Family and Consumer Resource. I have been working in education for 30 years, teaching pre-k thru college, as well as community members.
